Pavlos Michailidis lives and works in Thessaloniki.

           He studied piano, music theory and composition at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. He has written works for a solo instrument, chamber & ensemble, string quartets, choral, large orchestra, jazz big band, etc. He has also written music for theater, documentaries, silent movies and short films. His works has been performed both in Greece and abroad.

           He has participated as a pianist in classical music, contemporary, jazz and various music styles concerts. He has performed with musicians such as Danny Hayes, Sakis Papadimitriou, Milcho Leviev, Gianni Lenoci, Gianni Mimmo… Also with groups: Magic Road Big Band, Aroma Caribe, Terra Incognita, Monie & Monie Conniente, Paulus Quintet, Noisy Cut, Baby on Board ...

           He cover with live performance silent movies (Museum of Contemporary Art, Ancient Roman Forum, ...).

           With three albums - "Unfolded Map" (2010) (Dissonance Records) and "Mirror Side"   (2019) (self release) "Sudden Eddies" (2022) (Jazz Breeze Records)  - his band "Paulus Quintet"has appeared at numerous jazz festivals, music scenes and other concerts with excellent response: (Jazz Festival of Thessaloniki, "Vafopoulio Cultural Center", "Dissonance Records Festival", " Para thin alos ", Block33, Jazz Bar Duende, "Sissitio" Rhodes bar, Rhodes Jazz Festival, State Conservatory Thessaloniki...) and live streaming concerts (FabrianoInAqcuarello2021...).

            Ιn painting he is self-taught. His works are mainly watercolors with a recent focus on black Chinese ink. The themes drawn mainly from the urban landscape but also nature. Since 2016 he has been a member of SKETBE (Association of Fine Artists of Northern Greece) with participation as a painter in art exhibitions both in Greece ["Υearly expositions  SKETBE", "Miniature exhibitions", "Water and Antiqueties" 46th Olympus Festival, Watercolor Salon II, "Art auction", "ART Thessaloniki 2018", "Nude model drawing exhibition", "Watercolor International IV", "ART in 3 BIDS" ...] and abroad (Italy, Spain, Pakistan, France, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Kosovo, Malaysia...) [IWS Pakistan-"Pearls of Peace Season-II" Biennale, International Watercolor exhibition "Mediterraneo"Madrid, Rome,"Fabriano in acquerello 2018", "Exposition de peintures de SKETVE"- Paris) ... ] and live painting demonstrations. Also illustrations of books and cds covers.

Since 2003, he has been a teacher of music in public education.
